Our Admissions officer, Barja, first encountered the beauty industry when she was a child, growing up in Europe. She would go to the salon with her mother and she loved the atmosphere. She has worked in salons for many years and decided to get into education in order to give something back to the industry. She has worked in many areas of the beauty industry, helping to write curricula, doing photo shoots and writing for different publications. She loves the team that she works with now and is incredibly happy to be a part of the process of changing the lives of our students.
Instructor Stacia Lyda has spent her entire adult life in the beauty industry. As a stylist behind the chair she honed her skills to be trusted and beloved by her clientele. She has been an educator since 2009. Stacia’s son has autism and as she taught him she realized that she had a gift for teaching. She knows how difficult it can be to find teachers who truly care for their students and saw the opportunity to be one of those caring nurturers. Stacia loves helping people and is a valued teammate.
